Great news! Our CEO and Founder, Cynthia Carden, has launched an exciting audio series to keep all QHS members in the loop with the latest news and information. These engaging updates will be uploaded to the Telegram chat and member accounts in the Blog section for easy access. Stay tuned for more details, and be sure to tune in to stay informed about all things QHS!

To Access the QHS Blogs, after logging in to your account:

1. Select 'Community Resources' then Select 'Blog'

2. Search for the topic you require next to the magnifying glass at the top of the page.  Click on Enter or Return

The search term

    - can be specific, e.g., 'risotto' or 'heartburn', or

- a general term, e.g., 'potatoes' or 'digestion'

The search function will bring up every blog with that term in it, and these can be found right under the search box. For example, 'potatoes' will bring up anything with the term potatoes in it, such as 'sweet potatoes.'

NOTES

Please remember to use the American spelling for what you're looking for. Some examples can be found below:

For Vegetables:

  • Chickpeas may also be called Garbanzo Beans.
  • Coriander is a type of herb/seasoning commonly used by itself, but in America, the leaves of the coriander plant are called cilantro, the Spanish name for the plant rather than coriander leaves.
  • Courgette, or baby marrow, is called Zucchini in America.
  • Rocket/roquette, is called Arugula in America.
  • Mirepoix refers to a mix of onions, celery, and carrots.

Medical terms:

Use the American spelling to search. For example, the British spelling of Oedema becomes Edema in American English.  Aneamia is anemia, haemoglobin is hemoglobin, glycaemic index is glycemic index, and so on.
